I have worked in personal lines insurance since 1989 where I began my career at Devonshire Wilson & Co before moving on to Kennett Insurance Brokers. In 2014 I joined Hedon Insurance and I am now the current manager of the Cottingham Branch.I really enjoy the challenge of finding solutions to some of the more complicated insurance risks and providing quotations that beat our competitors. In my spare time, I enjoy walking, gym, camping and watching all types of sport such F1, football, rugby and horse racing. I have yet to be converted into a cricket or snooker fan. 

I joined Hedon Insurance in 2016 and am currently based in the Cottingham office having previously worked for 5 years with Swinton Insurance. I love animals and my favourite day out would be a trip to the zoo. I enjoy eating out and trying new foods and socialising with friends. I am a brown belt in karate and am working towards my black belt. 

I joined Hedon Insurance in December 2019 as an apprentice Insurance advisor and am based in the Hedon Branch. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, going out with my friends and shopping. 

I started working in Insurance at the age of 17 as an office junior and I am now in my 27th year. I joined Hedon Insurance in 2010 and have been a personal insurance advisor based in the Hedon branch since then. Away from the office I love watching films and spending time with friends and family. 

Luke’s first role in full-time employment was as a Support Services Assistant at the East Riding of Yorkshire Council, assisting Social Workers and Educational Psychologists with their administrative tasks. He carried out this role for almost two years before seeking a new challenge and joined Hedon Insurance as a personal lines insurance advisor. Although Luke admits he ‘fell into’ insurance rather than it being a first-choice career, he quickly decided that insurance was the right career path and after eighteen months progressed into the commercial department. After a short space of time he started to undertake specific qualifications relevant to the insurance industry and has achieved both a Certificate and Diploma in Insurance with a view to progressing on to the Advanced qualification in the near future. Away from work Luke enjoys working out at the gym, playing golf and cheering on his favourite team, Hull FC at the KCOM Stadium. 

Richard originally started at Hedon Insurance when he was 17 working part time at the Hedon Office on Saturdays. Once he completed the National Diploma, he joined the company full time and then moved to our Hornsea Office to deal with Personal Lines. He finds commercial insurance really interesting and enjoys the diversity of clients he works with. Away from the office, Richard plays cricket for Hornsea Cricket club in the York Senior Cricket League and has played for Hornsea for the past 20 years. He has supported Hull City AFC through thick and thin since he was 6 years old and has also enjoys spending his time on the golf course when he has any spare time. 

Angela joined the company in 2017 and has worked in the insurance profession for over twenty-five years for a variety of businesses and organisations in different sectors. She has worked in Hull and Nottingham working in financial roles. Angela recently joined the Commercial Team and now fulfils a dual role as Accounts Assistant and Commercial Account Handler. In her spare time, Angela keeps fit in the gym, enjoys running and spending time with family and friends. 

Alan spent his career advising clients in both personal lines and commercial insurance with a number of UK brokers and achieved a BA Hons in Business and Management from Glasgow Caledonian University. Recruited in 2019, Alan sought a new challenge and the role at HI Commercial stood out because of the Company’s approach to commercial insurance, getting to know clients and visit their premises to get first-hand experience of how the business works.
